Lunit Expands AI Radiology Reach with German Data Deal

South Korean AI Meets German Precision

Lunit, a Seoul-based health tech innovator, is taking a significant leap into Europe by teaming up with Germany’s Telepaxx Medical Data (TMD). The deal will see Lunit’s AI-powered imaging suite—Lunit INSIGHT CXR and Lunit INSIGHT MMG—deployed across TMD’s expansive radiology network, targeting around 500 medical facilities and 30 radiology centers. This collaboration will support medical professionals with advanced tools that enhance diagnostic accuracy in detecting lung anomalies and breast cancer, marking a pivotal step in Lunit’s growth strategy to become a global AI leader in healthcare. Their AI tools have already gained regulatory approval from Germany’s Federal Office for Radiation Protection, adding essential credibility and regulatory compliance to the deployment.

Strategic Gateway to the European Market

The partnership with TMD doesn’t just represent another client win—it’s a strategic foothold in one of Europe’s most demanding healthcare markets. With Telepaxx managing one of the largest radiological data archives in Europe, its integration of Lunit’s AI is likely to fast-track the technology’s exposure and adoption. Germany, known for its rigorous health regulations, offers a high-value proving ground for medical AI, and Lunit’s inclusion signals growing trust in machine-learning diagnostics. CEO Brandon Suh framed the partnership as a “milestone” toward broader European expansion, emphasizing real-world clinical use and data access as critical to AI effectiveness.
