IBM and Oracle Join Forces to Boost Agentic AI and Hybrid Cloud
AI Gets a New Power Couple
IBM and Oracle have announced an expanded partnership aimed at accelerating enterprise adoption of agentic AI and hybrid cloud infrastructure. The collaboration leverages Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and IBM’s watsonx AI platform to deliver scalable AI solutions for businesses navigating digital transformation. With agentic AI – systems that can plan, execute, and adapt independently – at the center of the strategy, both companies aim to redefine enterprise AI capabilities. This partnership marks a deeper integration of tools and platforms aimed at streamlining mission-critical workloads with the intelligence of next-gen AI.
Bringing Hybrid Cloud to New Heights
Beyond AI, the alliance targets hybrid cloud deployments, combining IBM’s consulting expertise with Oracle’s cloud services to optimize infrastructure across public and private environments. Businesses will be able to run workloads like Oracle Database directly on IBM Cloud, and utilize OCI services through IBM Consulting. This expansion taps into the enterprise need for flexible, secure, and resilient infrastructure—especially in regulated industries like finance and healthcare. By combining forces, IBM and Oracle aim to remove operational silos that have long hindered modernization efforts for large enterprises.
