AI Meets Asphalt: $2.5B Smart City Project Aims to Reinvent Urban Living

Smart Cities, Smarter Infrastructure

In a bold bid to redefine city living, Bold Technologies and My Aion have unveiled a $2.5 billion smart city platform powered entirely by artificial intelligence. The initiative aims to digitize and optimize urban infrastructure using Web3, AI-driven governance, and real-time data to create more sustainable, efficient, and inclusive environments. The project will also incorporate decentralized digital IDs and tokenized real estate to streamline civic participation and empower residents with direct control over their data and assets. By merging advanced technologies like blockchain with city infrastructure, the partners hope to pioneer a model for the “intelligent city” of the future.

Governance Goes Regenerative

Rather than simply digitizing existing civic processes, the platform takes an ambitious step further by embedding “regenerative finance” principles, or ReFi, into city governance and services. This approach leverages blockchain and AI to redirect value flows toward sustainability, local economies, and community well-being. Real-time consensus mechanisms aim to replace legacy bureaucracies with agile, data-driven decisions while maintaining accountability through decentralized tech. My Aion CEO Aun Abbas shared that the platform is designed to be owned and governed by its users, aligning incentives among citizens, city officials, and infrastructure providers in an entirely new kind of socio-digital ecosystem.
