Nvidia Goes All-In on AI at Computex
Jensen Huang’s Grand AI Vision
During a high-octane Computex 2024 keynote, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang laid out a sweeping vision for the future of artificial intelligence, unveiling a comprehensive suite of new technologies aimed at driving the next wave of global innovation. Central to the announcement was Nvidia’s latest Blackwell-based AI platform, touted as a game-changer for data centers, as well as new “Rubin” AI chips already slated for 2026. Huang emphasized the critical importance of accelerated computing and generative AI, positioning Nvidia at the center of the AI industrial revolution. With the Blackwell architecture promising massive throughput and lower energy consumption, Huang reaffirmed Nvidia’s commitment to maintaining its lead in AI infrastructure.
AI Factory in Taiwan and an Expanding Ecosystem
In a nod to Taiwan’s strategic role in the global tech supply chain, Huang revealed plans for a cutting-edge AI factory to be developed in partnership with key Taiwanese firms, including TSMC and Wistron. This facility will form part of a broader global network of “AI factories,” which Huang defined as next-generation data centers optimized for model training and inference. Nvidia also demonstrated how its software platforms—including CUDA and Omniverse—are evolving to support every layer of the AI stack, from robotics and autonomous vehicles to language models. Accessories and hardware partners like Asus and MSI also showcased Nvidia-powered systems, signaling continued ecosystem growth and adoption.
