Scamnetic Secures $13M to Outsmart AI-Powered Fraudsters

Turning the Tables on Tech-Savvy Scammers

AI-driven scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated—and so are the tools designed to fight them. Scamnetic, a cybersecurity startup focused on identifying and neutralizing generative AI-enabled scams, has just closed a $13 million seed funding round. The fundraising was co-led by Wing Venture Capital, with participation from Accel and Research Garage, signaling strong investor confidence in Scamnetic’s mission. The company plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate product development and expand its engineering and go-to-market teams.

Building Guardrails for a Generative AI World

The rise of large language models (LLMs) has led to a surge in believable phishing emails and fraudulent communications crafted at scale—posing new challenges to traditional fraud detection. Scamnetic’s platform targets this problem by flagging high-risk generative AI content across multiple communication channels, including email and messaging platforms. The tech is already in use with major fintech, healthtech, and retail clients. With partnerships and pilots already underway, Scamnetic aims to become foundational infrastructure for enterprises looking to future-proof their defenses against next-gen scams.
